Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Center for Future Effectiveness ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use CTE Tools (the "Service"). We aim to collect as little personal information as we need to run the Service.
Information We Collect
- Account information. Your name and email address, which you provide or which are provided when you purchase a subscription.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We retain limited records such as a customer reference, transaction amounts, and subscription status.
- Security and usage data. To protect accounts and content, we log information such as IP addresses, sign-in times, device/browser details, and access events. These records are retained only as long as needed for security and then removed.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and provide access to content you have purchased or been granted;
- To process payments, renewals, and refunds;
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms (including our one-device-at-a-time policy);
- To contact you about your account, such as password resets and important service notices;
- To comply with legal obligations.
Payment Processing
We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions. Your payment details are handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Third-Party Services
Where the Service offers video, playback may be provided through a third-party video host (such as Vimeo), subject to that provider's privacy practices. We share only what is necessary to deliver the content you have access to.
Cookies and Sessions
We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Data Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Security logs such as IP addresses are kept only for a limited period and then deleted. When an account is deleted, we remove personal information, though we may retain limited, non-identifying transaction records as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted access to data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at info@ctetools.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will respond to requests as required by law.
Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
